The orchestra of film music (OVMF) was founded in 2000 by Bruno Blouin-Robert and Jocelyn Leblanc, artistic director of the orchestra.
The OVMF is a non-profit organization, today it has more than 50 high-level amateur musicians, music students and professionals who meet every week to offer two quality concerts every year, entirely dedicated to soundtracks of cinematographic works, television programs and video games.
For many years, the OVMF has enjoyed partnering with other ensembles or responding to special requests to produce ever more original concerts. Examples include collaborations with Le Chœur de la Montagne, the Wishmaster group (Nightwish tribute group), participation in the opening ceremony of the 2012 World Film Festival, and several benefit concerts for charities. All arrangements are made by Jocelyn Leblanc, which gives the orchestra the opportunity to present pieces that had never been performed in concert.
