What are the festival hours?

Friday: Ticket Office 5 pm, Door opens 7 pm – 11pm
Saturday :
Ticket Office 9 am, Door opens 10 am – 10 pm
Sunday : Ticket Office 9 am, Door opens 10 am – 5 pm

Where is the festival taking place?

This year edition’s will take place at CEPSUM, University of Montreal, 2100 Edouard Montpetit Blvd, Montreal, QC H3T 1J4

Will the convention be indoors? 

Yes! GEEK-IT! will take place across more than 50 000 square feet inside CEPSUM arena at University of Montreal .
All convention activities will be indoor however attendees can go to the university campus to take amazing picture.

What is GEEK-IT?

GEEK-IT! is a unique convention that shares the love of emerging technology and pop culture.
It’s an opportunity for people of all ages to experience the latest tech toys, play amazing games,
watch live shows, and much more.

 What do I need to bring?

We suggest you dress comfortably, as you might exercise a little at one of our VR stations!
You can bring a camera to keep a record of the good memories you will make. We also suggest to bring some cash, 
as some of our merchants might not accept cards!

Will there be parking close to the convention?

There will be a 24h parking right beside the convention at the price of 25$ with taxes included. Please see the picture beside.

Can I watch Esport Tournaments without a tournament pass?

For PC tournaments, a screen will be live streaming different ongoing matches for the public to see in the exhibition hall. Unfortunately, the public won’t be able to sit beside the participants during the match.

In the case of console tournaments, the public is allowed inside the zone to cheer for their friends, as long they are not disturbing the ongoing match.

In any case, the finals of every esport tournament will take place on the big stage, for everyone to enjoy and cheer for free!

Can I bring my own food?

Food and drinks from outside is allowed however certain zone like the computer zone will not allow

Is there an age restriction?

Everyone is welcome at GEEK-IT! Those below 13 years old must be accompanied at all times by their parent
or legal guardian. Teen of 14-17 years old can come to the convention without their parent supervision however it is recommended to come with an adult or friends.  A teenager also cannot be the only accompanied person of a child. 
All children 12 and below can enter free.

Can I bring my pet inside the convention center?

Unfortunately, pets will not be allowed inside the center, unless the animal in question has a special functionality, such as a guide dog to assist a visually-impaired person.

Will the convention center have wheelchair ramps?

The convention center is equipped with ramp at each exit and elevator to access the dock.

Will there be a coat check service?

The convention center will provide a coat check service at the door.

Can I buy a ticket at the door?

Absolutely! However, buying them in advance may save you some gold coins.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.

To access your e-ticket online you can go on geekit.app 
And log into your GEEK-IT! account and see all your purchase and your rewards.

Do you offer refunds on tickets?

Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds on tickets.
Please make sure you’re able to attend if you buy one!
If your plans change, you may resell your ticket to someone else.
